Dr. Paula Gaudet B.Sc., O.D.

Dr. Paula Gaudet grew up in Kildare, PEI. She graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology. She then attended the University of Waterloo graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1993.

Dr. Gaudet practiced in Bridgewater and Liverpool from 1993 to 1995 and then joined Dr. Carew in 1996 to form the Professional Eye Health Centres in Sackville in Halifax. She enjoys all aspects of family practice.

Dr. Gaudet has served as a Councilor for the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists for a number of years. She also served as President of the Association from 1999 –2001 and continues to sit on committees to address issues of health care legislation and geriatric care. She has been a special consultant to the Ladies Aid of the Canadian Legion for Annual meetings and conventions.

Dr. Gaudet has been married to her husband Erick since 1990. Erick is a lubricant engineer with Petro-Canada. They live in Hammonds Plains together with their son Hunter and their 2 golden retrievers (Doc and Matey). She enjoys playing with her son and boating but can often be found 4-wheeling or cooking for friends and family.
