Glaucoma Testing
Recent and emergent research and tools in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma have changed the way we test our patients.
Along with the two tests previously mentioned:, tonometry which measures interocular pressure and pachymetry which measures corneal thickness, your doctor may recommend additional testing if you are determined to be at a higher risk for developing glaucoma.
These risk factors include: age, family history, eye pressure and corneal thickness. We are fortunate to have a Hidelberg Retinal Tomograph (HRT III) that scans and measures your optic nerve head helping us diagnose glaucoma earlier that was possible without this test.
